As with all our soils, we rigorously test our Natural Ericaceous Topsoils with the UK’s leading soil scientists. They are typically found to comply with the British Standard for Ericaceous Topsoil, albeit with some minor compromises.
These compromises are detailed below and referred to in the relevant scientific soil report as minor in the context of all other results:
• Low in nutrients
• Elevated carbon-to-nitrogen (C:N) ratio
These non-compliances are common with Ericaceous soils and are considered relatively minor by our soil scientists, as detailed in the scientific soil report linked below. However, they have advised that, if necessary, these points can be remedied with the application of an appropriate Ericaceous compost.
