Lawn Topsoil (PL)

Our Lawn Topsoil (PL) has been designed for high use grass areas where a soil with moderate drainage and good structural properties are desirable. Laboratory testing confirms our Lawn Topsoil (PL) is adequately supplied with both organic matter and nutrients.

The saturated hydraulic conductivity of 49mm/hr recorded under a degree of consolidation is considered moderate but not 'fast-draining'. The combination of this drainage rate and the soil's particle size distribution should offer a good balance of water retention and drainage of surplus water.

Please note, soils designed with moderate drainage properties are likely to be more demanding than regular multi-purpose topsoils with regards to maintenance and subject to environmental conditions, areas of Lawn Topsoil (PL) may need irrigating and fertilising for both initial establishment and continued growth of the grass.
