DELIVERY METHODS

Turf prices and delivery methods are calculated on the delivery postcode. Whilst turf orders must be placed a minimum of 36 hours in advance of your chosen delivery date, all our turf is freshly cut the afternoon/evening before delivery and dispatched on a Next Working Day Delivery, guaranteeing our customers the very freshest turf possible.
Turf deliveries are generally made between 09.00 and 13.00, although these times can vary depending on traffic, load volumes and pallet service demand. For a small extra charge, customers will have the opportunity to upgrade their delivery to pre-11.00am at the Checkout Stage.
We offer two delivery options for turf, orders between 1 – 159m2 (under 160m2) are normally delivered on a Nationwide pallet delivery service to a large part of the UK, whilst turf orders over 160m2 will generally be delivered to a smaller restricted UK postcode area on an artic flat bed with Moffatt Forklift offload (a Moffett is an electric all terrain forklift).
 When delivering on an artic vehicle, we aim to park as close as possible (normally within 100-200m) to the requested delivery point, and off load the turf pallets using a Moffatt Forklift. However, all turf deliveries are subject to suitable access and for larger orders over 160m2, where artic access is an issue, you can specify delivery on a six-wheel rigid delivery vehicle with tailgate offload. However, this service is subject to postcode availability and does carry a 35p per m2 additional surcharge. Should you believe that your access is too tight for an artic delivery, please contact us directly on the number below to discuss your delivery options.  All other turf deliveries outside of our standard delivery zones will be sent on a next day pallet service as detailed above.

TURF DELIVERIES - DELIVERY METHOD T&C’S

Turf orders under 160m2 (1-159m2)
• Access to the delivery site must be on hard roads over which a delivery vehicle can pass safely without sustaining or causing damage of any kind. Access must also avoid low bridges and low overhead wires and trees. (Please refer to ‘pallet deliveries’)
• Turf deliveries under 160m2 are guaranteed to KERBSIDE only, we cannot deliver over loose, uneven or soft ground i.e. not gravel, shingle or grass. However, when a driveway or delivery area is relatively flat and smooth, our palletised distribution specialists will endeavour to drop the pallet onto your driveway or alternative flat smooth area close to the delivery vehicle. Please note, our delivery drivers are not able to carry turf up inclines, along small paths or into rear gardens.
• Should a customer be unable to accept delivery of their turf once in transit or at the point of delivery, for what-ever-reason, you will not be entitled to any form of refund.
• All failed turf deliveries resulting directly from the customers actions, will be deemed to have been successfully delivered by the company.
• Should you need to reschedule your turf delivery prior to it being delivered, you must give at least 36 hours-notice to reschedule your delivery, failing this, your turf will be delivered as per your original order instructions.
• All pallets are NON-RETURNABLE, it is the customers responsibility to dispose of the pallet(s), which make great firewood.

Turf orders over 160m2 (160m2 +)
• Access to the delivery site must be on hard roads over which a delivery vehicle can pass without sustaining or causing damage of any kind. Access must also avoid low bridges and low overhead wires and trees.
• Our preferred delivery method for larger turf orders (160+) is by artic flat bed with Moffatt Forklift offload (a Moffett is an electric all terrain forklift).
• To enable successful delivery, an artic vehicle needs to be able to park within 100-200m of the delivery point. Should this not be possible, then delivery would need to be switched to a rigid delivery vehicle when an additional cost of 0.35p plus VAT per m2 will need to be paid. Additional payments can be made by calling our sales team on (01306) 772455.
• When a smaller rigid turf delivery is booked, this will be subject to the same terms and conditions as turf orders under 160m2.
• Generally, turf deliveries are guaranteed to KERBSIDE only. However, when a driveway or delivery area has adequate access for the Moffatt offload vehicle, our delivery specialists will endeavour to drop the turf pallet(s) onto your driveway or alternative flat smooth area close by.
